Odyssey was written after the culmination of life events that brought me to the realization that, no matter how good or bad things are going, they often have a way of shifting the other direction. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. You cannot appreciate life success or happiness without knowing what life failure or sadness is. It's all a part of the big picture. "Life", in my mind, is what comes to mind when I think of the word "Odyssey". It is our great adventure.

I've lived away from home for a long time. Salt Lake City is that home. I wrote this piece after one of my countless 12 hour drives to see my family for the holidays.

This song really gets to me, especially when I'm feeling a little melancholy for my family. After time, however, I've come to play it for the purpose of getting to a calm, peaceful state. I can close my eyes and think of all of the things that bring me happiness. One of those images is visiting the river that I used to fish frequently.

You don't need to physically be in a place to feel like you are there. Hence the old saying "home is where the heart is".

Written after many coffee visits with my good friend, Mel. Every Tuesday morning, we would visit a local , quaint shop on the South Hill of Spokane, WA. After many conversations and observations of the most interesting people, I wrote "Coffee". I always imagine how long people have known each other. Is the couple across the room on their first date? Is this just a business meeting? Have the other couple on the other side of the room been together for a while, given how silent they are? You'll be amazed what you can observe at a coffee shop!

Since I was a child, even till this day, I can recall the most wild dreams. After studying psychology throughout my life, I learned that I have been able to lucid dream, to the point that I can conscientiously control what is going on in those dreams. Even to the point that if I woke up, I could fall back asleep and will myself to get right back into the same dream I was having.

My biggest theme? Flying! I can't tell you how magical it is. Of course, I won't divulge exactly what it takes for me to fly in my dreams. But I will say, it's pretty hilarious.. But not in my dreams.
