I dedicate this song to my buddy, Jim Taylor, a childhood friend who had more imagination than anyone I know.
I used to be very into the story of Scotland, mainly the portrayal that the movie Brave Heart provided. I was so passionate about that kind of stuff, I couldn't help but sit at the piano and come up with something that reminds me of what it may be like to travel that area. I haven't done it yet, but it's on the bucket list!
Another bit of inspiration for this piece was from the music of the movie, Last of the Mohicans. I still get goosebumps when I hear that stuff.
The music we grow up appreciating seems be the major portion of the soundtrack of our lives. James Horner, Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman are huge parts of my life soundtrack!
